ABOUT AMY
Amy Rubinate is an award-winning audiobook narrator, director and producer, and the author of two historical middle grade graphic novels, Annie and the Unsinkable Ship (2024) and Kate and the City of Fire (2023) for Capstone Publishing’s Girls Survive series. She earned her MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University.
After founding the boutique audiobook publisher Ideal Audiobooks, Amy bought Mosaic Audio and built it into one of the largest audiobook production companies in the industry with recording studios in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The Audie Award and AudioFile Earphone Award-winning Mosaic Audio has produced over 3,000 titles for major publishers. Amy narrated over 300 audiobooks, notably Kiera Cass's The Selection and Megan McDonald's Judy Moody series for children, and Sharon Sala's Blessings Georgia, Kristan Higgins's Blue Heron, Wendy Wax's Ten Beach Road series.
Amy has directed many acclaimed children's audiobooks, notably: When We Flew Away, Rebound, Loving vs. Virginia, Love Sugar Magic, All Four Stars, and Ada Twist, Scientist. She is a sought-after director for author and celebrity audiobooks and has directed such luminaries as Kristen Stewart, Jillian Michaels, Larry David, Felicia Day, Mara Wilson, Nathan Fillion, Megan Follows, Naya Rivera, Melissa Benoist, and the cast of Happy Days in Marion Ross’s memoir.
