After writing scripts and songs for a regional children's television program produced by CSU East Bay and working as a professional reviewer for AudioFile Magazine, Amy got her MFA in Writing for Children at Hamline University. She has completed a historical fiction middle grade graphic novel, a nonfiction picture book biography, and a concept picture book about her favorite subject (dogs!) and is querying agents. ​
